Surface Drive Technology:
Uses contact on the larger area closer to the centre of the bolt or nut. It is useful for painted face nuts or any bolt or nut made of soft material, with less risk of damaging the faces. Surface drive technology can also be useful for a bolt or nut that has been damaged or deformed. It enables easier engagement to a bolt or nut and efficient work. Less damage to bolts or nuts and better work efficiency can be achieved. Surface drive technology socket design works well with multiple spindle nut runner systems used in Manufacturing. The Surface Drive locates the fastener head quicker than traditional Six Point or Flat Drive sockets. The concave area between each convex radius & compensates for any misalignment between the socket and the fastener head helping to align all the tooling in a multiple spindle nut runner.
