Conventional sockets are made to the shape of the fastener and may break or 'round-off' edges when pressure is applied. Kincrome sockets with Peripheral Drive provide greater torque by relocating the load to the stronger flat sides of the fastener and re-distributing the pressure to the stronger parts of the socket. This feature, combined with greater surface area contact, improves torque and prevents 'rounding off' of the fastener.
