This will take off Oil Filters in 4WDs and Cars. It has a socket which you turn (using a spanner or socket and ratchet) The arms (see pic) will close down on the filter, the harder you turn the harder it grips. The socket bit can be removed revealing a 3/8" drive so you can also put a ratchet straight onto the unit as well. These are the best oil filter tool you can get.

Good value although a 1/2 drive would have been better. Nothing an adapter can't fix anyway.
